The Fantastic Four quickly became one of Marvel's most popular titles. Their adventures were filled with action, humor, and heart. The team faced off against a variety of villains, including Doctor Doom, Galactus, and the Skrulls. They also explored strange new worlds and met a cast of colorful supporting characters.

The Silver Age (1966-1972)

The Fantastic Four continued to be a popular title throughout the 1960s and into the early 1970s. During this time, the team underwent a number of changes. In Fantastic Four #51, the Thing left the team to join the Avengers. He was replaced by the Black Panther, who became the team's first African-American member. In Fantastic Four #60, the team was joined by Medusa, the queen of the Inhumans.

The Fantastic Four also faced a number of new challenges during this time. In Fantastic Four #71, the team was captured by the Kree Empire and forced to fight in the Skrull-Kree War. In Fantastic Four #94, the team was kidnapped by Doctor Doom and taken to Latveria.

The Bronze Age (1972-1986)

The Fantastic Four entered a new era in the early 1970s with the of writer-artist John Byrne. Byrne's run on the title is considered one of the most influential in the team's history. He brought a new level of realism and sophistication to the series, while still maintaining the fun and adventure that had always been a part of the Fantastic Four.

Under Byrne's guidance, the Fantastic Four faced a number of new challenges. In Fantastic Four #123, the team was targeted by the Beyonder, a powerful extra-dimensional being. In Fantastic Four #130, the Thing left the team again, this time to join the West Coast Avengers.

The Modern Age (1986-1998)

The Fantastic Four entered the modern age in 1986 with the launch of a new series titled Fantastic Four: The Evolutionary War.
